For Single, Ready & Weary Women

In just a few more days we're going to say good bye to Old Man winter and Hello to Spring! No more winter boots, hats, gloves, scarves as of March 19, 20 or 21. Well, this is what the weather man predicts will happen in Canada, but only time will tell.

Have you ever made a prediction about something you thought would go a certain way because it LOOKED LIKE it would? Did you predict, that you would have been married by now? Or, did you meet someone that LOOKED LIKE a good reason to say goodbye to the single life for, but as the relationship progressed you realized, 'I want Courtship, a serious relationship that leads to marriage, but not with them.

I made a few predictions of my own. I would be married by 27 and have a few children before the age of 40. What actually happened, I got married at 32 and had my first child at 40. Have an idea where I'm going with this?

The Bible say's, "The mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs His steps.
(Proverbs 16:9)

If what you were hoping should of happened by now, has you feeling forgotten, overlooked, sad, discouraged or disappointed I want you to know there is a due season! One that is not controlled by the weather, or even by your feelings but controlled by God! He knows when we are truly ready for anything in our lives.

We find the words 'due season' in Galatians 6:9 accompanied by the words "do not grow weary," and don't "lose heart." God who is the master builder of our lives doesn't want us to be heavily focused on what we can obtain in this life, but rather what we can do to bring others to Himself. He want's us to stay occupied doing good to our fellow man and fulfilling our earthly assignment as His Kingdom ambassadors.

Sometimes, we set ourselves up for disappointment when we have an idea in our minds of what our reward should be and it doesn't materialize. Have you ever thought your reward for being faithful to God, doing good to others and serving in the church should be a husband? I totally think you should get the desire of your heart, but not because you do good or serve well, but because God is GOOD!!

As hard as it was for me to ask you that question, I knew it needed to be said. For some, this could be the reason why you have been feeling weary, sad, disappointed, have checked-out emotionally or have been giving a half-hearted praise and worship.

Well today, God wants to set your mind free from those feelings with this truth: our one and only true reward is eternal life with Jesus! It's Him seeing you and I with a smile on His face saying WELL DONE thou Good and Faithful servant! (Matthew 25:23.)
